Shirin has experience from both the Private and Third Sector. With over 15 years as a marketer for Unilever, SmithKline Beecham, Pepsi Cola, and Cola-Cola, Shirin travelled internationally, developing business across Western, Central and Eastern Europe, the Caribbean and the Middle East.
Shirin joined Business in the Community in 2002 as a volunteer and has since held a number of positions - from account management to the fostering of voluntary, community and public sector relationships in London and across the South East. Shirin created 6 community visits for the CEO and Board of Marks & Spencer, to facilitate the company’s HQ move from Baker Street to Paddington.
She is passionate about education and raising the aspirations of young people across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, through business partnerships, mentoring and enthusing students about the World of Work. Most recently Shirin’s work has been focused on embedding CR with CEO and Board right through to workers of any level and this is achieved by understanding the issues facing organisations around talent, skills and education.
Shirin adores the theatre and is a trained a fire-eater!
