Hampshire businesses help the homeless move on at Christmas
Businesses across Hampshire have helped support the homeless in their local communities through taking part in the 2011 Business in the Community Christmas Gift Appeal. The appeal supported local charities Two Saints and YOU, who both provide support services to the regions homeless.

Businesses, including DAC Beachcroft LLP, Grant Thornton LLP, Jobsite, Lockheed Martin, Kier, Right Management, State Securities and the University of Winchester supported the appeal, which saw employees donate everyday food commodities. The items were then collated and distributed onwards to the charities service users moving on from sheltered accommodation to independent living.
“We’ve had a fantastic response to the appeal and would like to thank everyone who has supported it” said Pat Smith, Business in the Community, Area Manager Hampshire “Each donation received will have made a difference to the charities service users”
In total it is estimated £500 pounds worth of goods were donated through the appeal.
