Nick Jobling
Chief Financial Officer, Met Office
Nick joined the Met Office in 2004 and, aside from his usual role as Chief Financial Officer, is central to driving Corporate Responsibility initiatives at the Met Office. While operating as the UK’s national weather service, the Met Office also pushes the boundaries of climate-change science by researching and advising on its causes and consequences across the world. When it comes to the Met Office’s role beyond forecasting what the weather may do next, Nick is passionate about his wider community responsibilities as well as the global reach of the Met Office’s climate change studies.
Prior to joining the Met Office, Nick gained 17 years’ experience across a broad range of financial disciplines in the high-tech manufacturing and telecom sectors, having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1989.
