Steve Wood joined Ecclesiastical in September 2005.  He has 30 years' experience in the insurance sector, and spent a substantial part of his career with Royal & SunAlliance.  He is responsible for Ecclesiastical’s general insurance and financial services businesses in the UK and Ireland.

Steve is executive director responsible for corporate responsibility, including ensuring Ecclesiastical engages positively in all its local communities and that the group's environmental impact is minimised.   He chairs the group's community involvement committee and is senior contact for Business In The Community, which Ecclesiastical joined in 2008.
