John Union
Head of Swansea, Mid and South West Wales, Barclays Commercial Bank
In this role John is responsible for a team of 12 Relationship Directors who look after around 1,200 Business customers with turnover between £1m and £1bn. John is a member of the Barclays Wales & South West Commercial Bank Board which has overall responsibility for all Barclays Commercial Bank operations in the Region.
Prior to taking up his current appointment John has held a number of senior roles in Barclays including as Corporate Director, Wales Larger Business, Relationship Director looking after Retail and Wholesale customers throughout Wales and as Assistant Risk Director for Barclays Wales.
John is an active member of the South Wales Business Community following over 15 years of working closely with a large number of Corporate Clients and their Advisors in the Region.
Outside work John enjoys playing golf and watching most sports. Gardening helps to keep him relaxed! He is married to Denise and they have two grown up children which allow them both to spend more time travelling to interesting parts of the world”.
