Paul Fear Photography

After over 23 years working in the engineering sector, Paul took the plunge and set up his own commercial and industrial photography business in 2013.
Photography has been a passion since of Paul’s, since he was 13, and whilst working in industry he took photographs of installations and equipment that were then featured in technical publications worldwide.

When he established the business, he took the decision to provide his services to charities free of charge. Being nearly 50, Paul has a grown up family and his eldest son, Greg, has special needs. Subsequently, Paul and his family have been involved with many charities such as Ty Hafan and Touch Trust and he wanted to give something back.

“Being a responsible business, for me, means that I’m looking at my surrounding community and seeing how I can give my skills to them, to improve what they are doing. There are too many businesses who are just chasing the pound that they stop doing everything that’s right.” Paul Fears, Paul Fears Photography

Capital Network Solutions

Capital Network Solutions (CNS) provide specialist services to organisations looking to outsource their IT either in part or in its entirety. They provide a full suite of services from lines and connections and managed services to virtualisation, network security, penetrating testing and Cyber Essentials.
All of the engineers are DBS checked and hold accreditations in either Microsoft or Cisco.

Being a responsible business is extremely important to CNS and influences the way they work. This strong ethos runs throughout the company and has helped them to sustain and develop new relationships especially within the third sector. Capital Network Solutions are very proud of their staff for supporting this approach and bringing their ideas forward – it makes a great environment to work in.

“Being part of Business in the Community has really helped us articulate what we do and what we’ve achieved. I would thoroughly recommend engaging with Business in the Community to any small business that is out there. Being a responsible business is more than just having a badge or a title and Business in the Community can really help you bring clarity to the work you are probably already doing.” – Louise Batten, Capital Network Solutions

It also means building relationships with our community and where we can help out we do and we will. By working with Business in the Community we can get the tools, support and guidance to package up what we do, so we can gain a competitive edge when bidding for new work.” – Rachel Morris, Carpets n Carpets

The Challenge

With the increasing emphasis in tenders to evidence your social and environmental contributions; and the real need to differentiate your business in the market place, we want to help ensure your responsible business activity helps you grow your business and achieve your goals.

Smaller businesses tell us they act responsibly but often don't have the time or resource to manage, measure or communicate it. This means that you are not maximising the business benefits!

Our Small Business Offer is designed to help you with these challenges.
