Les Ratcliffe joined Jaguar in 1973 after completing service with the Regular Army in the Parachute Regiment.

Following a number of positions in the company, including Management & Professional Training Manager where he introduced a business leadership initiative, Les was appointed Manager of Community Relations in 1998.  In this post Les was responsible for introducing a Community Relations Strategy into Jaguar Land Rover. The company's community programme now contributes over £1.4 million per year to the community, a key aspect of it being support to engineering and education.

Les is married with two children and enjoys most sports, walking, the arts and a drink down the local! He is a member of the Reserve Forces as a staff officer with the rank of Major.
