East Midlands

The East Midlands is England's fourth largest region.  It has a population of 4.3 million and covers 15,607 square kilometres. There are six counties; Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Northamptonshire, and Rutland. The main population centres are the cities Derby, Leicester, Lincoln, Nottingham and Northampton.

On Thursday 05 June 2008, Business in the Community celebrated their Big Tick Awards at the University of Derby.  The East Midlands region won seven ‘Big Tick’ Awards, and gained 11 Big Tick re-accreditations.
