MOSAIC in Leicester
Mosaic aims to develop as a network of multiple, Muslim-led initiatives united in a common goal of breaking down barriers across British society. One if its key functions will be to encourage linkages between successful Muslim professionals and disadvantaged young Muslims, in order to raise aspirations and increase access to opportunities for education and employment.

MOSAIC was launched in Leicester on 19 January 2008 at the Federation of Muslim Youth Awards. Mosaic encourages linkages between successful Muslim professionals and disadvantaged young Muslims, in order to raise aspirations and increase access to opportunities for education and employment.
Leicester now has a thriving MOSAIC network and has 14 Community Leaders involved and 30 mentors. The Community Leaders have met twice and the most recent visit was to Aggregate Industries in Leicester, where comunity leaders donned hard hats and high viz jackets for a tour of Bardon Hill Quarry in Leicestershire.
