Business in the Community in the North West, is committed to supporting businesses address key environmental issues such as climate change, resource efficiency, transport and the incorporation of environmental strategy into core operations. This is done through environmental workshops, the environmental index and effective partnership working.
Environmental Masterclasses
Environmental Masterclasses in the North West are devised to give practitioners the opportunity to learn about cutting edge environmental issues and how they can improve their impact on the environment. They are aimed at sharing company experience and highlighting good practice on environmental issues.

The May Day Network
On 1 May 2007, Business in the Community hosted The Prince of Wales's May Day Business Summit on Climate Change.
Hosted by HRH The Prince of Wales, the Summit uniquely networked one hub event at St. James’s Palace and nine regional events across England through video conferencing technology provided by BT. In the North West, over 100 business leaders came together at New Century Hall, hosted by the Co-operative Group.
The May Day Network is a group of companies committed to taking action on climate change.
