Lord Thomas of Macclesfield

Lord Thomas of Macclesfield was raised to the peerage as Baron Thomas of Macclesfield, of Prestbury in the County of Cheshire in 1997.

He is a member of the Lords select committees on European Affairs and also the Monetary Policy of the Bank of England 1998-99.  

Lord Thomas is also president of the International Co-operative Banking Association (ICBA) 1988-95.
