The Prince's Seeing is Believing Programme

The Prince's Seeing is Believing Programme gives business leaders the opportunity to see for themselves how business can play a role in tackling Britain’s most pressing social issues in some of its most deprived urban and rural areas.

Each Seeing is Believing (SiB) visit involves a morning's visit to a range of community organisations, voluntary groups, schools and other insitutions and is hosted by a senior business leader.

2008 SiB events in the South West of England include a visit in Gloucestershire and an ‘In House’ event for HBOS Financial Services in Bristol.  Visits in 2007 explored ways in which business action can help raise achievement, increase employability, overcome barriers and support regeneration.

Seeing is Believing Network

Immediately after each visit, participants will be given the opportunity and support to take action, as well automatic membership of an active network of business people, The West of England Seeing is Believing Network.  This network is chaired by Bob Smyth, Partner at the Bristol based national law firm Burges Salmon and continuing champion of corporate responsibility at the firm.

Bob comments; "If you are involved in initiating or managing corporate responsibility (CR) programmes in your own organisation, the network will put you in touch with other people in the same position.  Sharing experience and building contacts is what this network is about.  I encourage you to use it as a valuable addition to the CR toolbox."
