Better Physical & Psychological Health
Wellness depends on both physical and psychological good health. The Workwell model uses the definitions developed by Towers Perrin, so physical health covers overall health and energy/stamina, while psychological health includes levels of stress/anxiety, intrinsic satisfaction, accomplishment, optimism, confidence, control, empowerment and safety.
Wellness directly affects how engaged people are in their work; and together, wellness and engagement will support good performance over a sustained period.
BITC’s Public Reporting Guidelines on Employee Wellness and Engagement provides a public reporting framework for organizations aligned to the four quadrants of the BITC Workwell Model.
