Next webinar: ESOL in a responsible workplace - 5 April 10-11am
The ability to speak English is important for employment opportunities and progression for individuals, and provides employers with the chance to access the talent they need to further their business, which could otherwise be missed if migrant workers are lacking in English language skills.
The demand for ESOL clearly exceeds funding and supply. We need to make sure that foreign workers are being given the right training at the right time, whether it’s as they start basic work on the factory floor or as they move upwards to a managerial position. The Government has placed more focus on employer responsibility based on the business benefits of a UK workforce with English language proficiency.
The implementation and delivery of ESOL provision can be a key factor in creating a responsible workplace that strategically addresses business and social issues.
Join us for this webinar led by Business in the Community and Tribal Group exploring the drivers, benefits, issues and solutions around ESOL in the workplace.
