As Managing Partner and CEO, Andrew Leaitherland is responsible for implementing the strategic direction of DWF. Described by market commentators as “visionary” and known for his entrepreneurial approach, Andrew has overseen the significant growth of the firm over the last nine years, increasing revenue by 456% from £30m to almost £200m, trebling net profit and increasing DWF's head count from 500 to 2,500 people. Significantly, Andrew has been instrumental in developing the infrastructure, processes and systems which have built DWF into the top 20 law firm it is today. In addition to leading the firm’s strategic direction through his role on the Strategic Board, Andrew chairs the Executive Board to help ensure that strategy is delivered and the Corporate Responsibility Leadership Group to ensure that DWF’s values and culture are brought to life within the business and to facilitate a wider positive impact on clients, people, community and the environment.
Andrew has been critical to DWF being recognised as one of Europe’s 50 most innovative law firms by the Financial Times, as well as it being independently ranked first of all top 20 law firms for quality of legal advice and joint first of all national law firms for service delivery and responsiveness. He was named Managing Partner of the Year at the Legal Business Awards 2014 and has just been reappointed for his fourth consecutive, three-year term as Managing Partner and CEO.
