Caroline Colliston is a lawyer and chartered tax adviser and currently sits on DWF's diversity steering group.
Educated at state school, Caroline was the first of her immediate family to attend university and the first lawyer across her extended family, entering the legal profession with no prior connections.
Caroline worked in private practice for law firms of differing sizes, from cross-border to a small, niche firm. She also led the teaching on the postgraduate legal practice at the University of Edinburgh which incorporated the free legal advice clinic.
As well as sitting on the Law Society of Scotland’s education and training sub-committee, Caroline is an external examiner for the University of Dundee.
Caroline believes passionately in a growth mindset approach, fair access of opportunity for all to education, life skills and ultimately work.
The widening attainment gap and child poverty are issues that Caroline says keep her awake at night.
