Caroline is a recognised sustainability professional, having gained a broad knowledge of economic, environmental and social concerns developed through a number of years of working within Responsible Business/Corporate Responsibility, Communications, Public and Government Affairs.
Caroline joined Lloyds Banking Group as Head of Strategy & Reporting 3 years ago having previously worked for the international retailer Kingfisher. Since joining Lloyds, she has helped to shape a new strategy & vision for Responsible Business aligned to the wider business strategy of being the best bank for customers and purpose to help Britain prosper. This resulted in the launch of the banks ‘Helping Britain Prosper Plan’ in March 2014.
Caroline is an active member of the banks Responsible Business Committee which oversees the embedding and delivery of the responsible business strategy focused around helping the UK’s Households, Businesses and Communities to prosper. The Committee is attended by senior leaders across all key business units and functions.
Whilst working for Kingfisher, Caroline was seconded to Business in the Community, helping them to shape their approach and communication for their ‘Visioning the Future – Transforming Business’ programme, this included supporting business company members in picturing, planning & building sustainable business models.
Caroline is also a member of Business in the Community’s Environmental Leadership Group, and the CIPR CR Network Steering Committee. She has previously participated in a number of networks and forums including The Prince of Wales UK/EU Corporate Leaders Group on Climate Change Working Group.
In December 2012, Caroline was recognised as a ‘Game Changer’ by Business in the Community. This honour was given to a select group of individuals who have worked behind the scenes to change business behaviour and advance corporate responsibility within their companies.
