As well as being Senior Partner and CEO of Deloitte in the UK, David is a member of the Deloitte Global Executive, leading the implementation of the company's strategy in its three worldwide regions.
David has deep personal commitment to understanding and increasing Deloitte's contribution to society. He has launched UK Futures, a multi-year programme to stimulate UK business into driving growth. He has also established the Deloitte Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship with London Business School, which focuses on driving the contribution of innovation and entrepreneurship to economic growth.
Before taking his current role, David led Deloitte's Tax function in the EMEA region and was a member of the UK Firm's Executive and Board of Partners.
He was previously Managing Partner for Operations at Andersen in the UK until 2002, then led Deloitte's Consulting and Advisory business from 2002 to 2004, and Deloitte's Talent agenda from 2004-2006.
David is a member of the CBI President's Club, The Advisory Board, The CityUK, the Professional and Business Services Group, and Board of Honorary Directors, Royal Opera House. He is also a member of the Employers Forum on Disability.
His interests outside work are travel, cycling, motor racing and family.
