Graeme Ferguson, Business Development Director, MAG

Graeme is Business Development Director for the airports group MAG which owns and operates four airports in the UK; Manchester, London Stansted, East Midlands and Bournemouth.  He is responsible for identifying and developing growth opportunities in targeted market segments worldwide and is also a qualified solicitor.

In addition to being a member of the board for Business in the Community for the Eastern Region Graeme is also a board member of the Haven Gateway Partnership and the New Anglia LEP Transport Board.

Graeme was Commercial Director for Cargo and General Aviation for MAG. Graeme joined London Stansted Airport as Head of Legal and a board director in the summer of 2012.  He has significant experience of large scale regulated infrastructure projects, including air, rail and road infrastructure, education, health, energy from waste and associated services.

Prior to joining Stansted he worked for Amey plc (the UK services division of Ferrovial) where he was Senior Legal Counsel for Amey Ventures, the PPP and Project Finance division of Amey, and also for Amey's Tube Services division which was responsible for delivering operational services on the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly Lines of the London Underground.  Whilst at Amey he was involved in the divestment of Tube Lines to Transport for London.

He trained as a solicitor and was an associate in the Projects, Transport and Infrastructure Group of the law firm Allen & Overy LLP from 2003 – 2008 working on a number of project finance initiatives across a broad spectrum of infrastructure sectors and general banking.
