Julian Daniel has over 30 years experience in the construction sector and is now Managing Director of Blue Sky Building, an independent premium London-centric construction deliverer.
Julian was main board director at Bovis Lend Lease for the last seven years of a 14 year career with them, overseeing all construction activity in England & Wales. He also spent 17 years with Wimpey Construction.
Whilst at Bovis, he spent five years overseeing the successful refurbishment of Government Offices, Great George Street, The Treasury, Customs & Excise and Inland Revenue as well as an expanded Cabinet War Rooms and a newly created Churchill Museum. These projects have received many national and international awards and Julian has twice been awarded a prestigious gold medal by the Chartered Institute of Building. He also donated his Project Management expertise to see the creation of the National Police Memorial, sited in the Royal Mall.
For two years Julian also worked on the Lend Lease Global Executive Management Team with specific responsibility for Environmental Health & Safety, and was behind the introduction of the Falls Mandate and the Annual Global Incident & Injury Free Leadership Awards. He has also raised over £2m for UNICEF as part of a small group of industry leaders, through holding an annual ball.
Julian gained a first in Civil Engineering at Sheffield University, and during his working career also successfully studied for an MBA.
