Ken Sloan is Registrar and Chief Operating Officer at the University of Warwick and is responsible for the administration of the University under the direction of the Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Nigel Thrift.
He also serves as Clerk to the Senate, Secretary to all University Committees and Company Secretary to the University’s companies and commercial businesses. Prior to his appointment at Warwick, Ken was Director for Universities and Higher Education for international services company SERCO with responsibility for broadening and strengthening the company's relationship with universities and related organisations. Ken is committed to supporting the success of young people in education with a particular focus on supporting the highly able and widening participation.
He is Chair of the Kingsley Education Trust in Redditch and the University’s professional sponsor for the WMG Academy for Young Engineers which is being launched in 2014. He sits on the Board of MAC in Birmingham, is a Fellow of the Association of University Administrators and also serves as member of the judging panel for the Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards.
