Neil began his career in community work developing a host of community projects from play and youth work to economic development. He has worked in Lottery funding for over 16 years, managing funding programmes across a wide range of activities including rural development, environment and community.
The Big Lottery fund is the largest distributer of Lottery good-cause funding and makes more than £1 million of grants available in Scotland every week.
The organisation looks to find and fund activities that are people-led, strength-based and well-connected in local places in order to boost communities. Many of The Big Lottery's most successful projects see people from different sectors coming together and pooling resources to deliver for their communities. Neil is excited by the possibilities SNAP-RB offers in order to make those connections.
