Rosie Chapman is an independent advisor to charities, not-for-profits and their suppliers, and she specialises in governance, regulation and strategic planning.
Rosie was formerly Director of Policy and Effectiveness at the Charity Commission, a role she held for ten years. During that time she was responsible for leading the Commission’s policy, corporate affairs and strategic planning activities.
Prior to joining the Commission, Rosie spent six years at the Housing Corporation in a variety of roles culminating as Assistant Director - Regulation Policy. In the past she has worked for a housing association, and has acted as company secretary for a number of charitable organisations.
She has held a number of trustee and board positions. Rosie is currently a trustee of Charity Finance Group, a charity that champions best practice in financial management in the voluntary sector, and of Catalyst Gateway, a charity delivering key government contracts and community development initiatives. She is a former board member of the ALMO Homes for Haringey, where she chaired the HR committee.
Rosie sits on NCVO’s Advisory Council and was a member of its Charity Law Review Advisory Group. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, and a member of the Charity Law Association.
