Sophie is currently part of the Responsible Business team for Fujitsu Europe, Middle East, Africa and India region. After graduating in law from University College London and completing a masters in environmental law, she worked at the International Union for the Conversation of Nature in Bonne, and also completed a CSR placement at the Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi.
Prior to joining Fujitsu she also worked at Business in the Community in the Mosaic team, as a research analyst. Core responsibilities include working on the rollout of Fujitsu’s EMEIA Responsible Business programme, CR reporting, ISO 26000, and human rights.
In Fujitsu we are lucky to have leaders who understand and promote the Responsible Business agenda as essential to our sustainable growth. Under this leadership the EMEIA region is benefitting from a rollout of a major Responsible Business program designed to align with our core strengths as a technology company.
Technology companies invest huge amounts in research and development, and there is a great potential to channel this towards piloting solutions for some of the biggest problems our society faces, such as climate change, resource scarcity or an aging population.
Why Sophie has been nominated
"I am delighted to nominate Sophie for this program as she is already helping Fujitsu consider important topics such as our policies on human rights and modern slavery, and feel confident that this program will expand her network, develop her thinking, and bring back ideas on where we can take practical action to tackle new issues." – Juliet Silvester, Head of Responsible Business Fujitsu EMEIA
