Starting at Business in the Community

We’ll help you get off to a good start with a local induction from your team and two days in our London office with other new people, meeting our Directors and learning more about our campaigns. In your first few months, you’ll get to go on our Introduction to Corporate Responsibility course so you can really understand what CR means to our members.

Learning and Development Programmes

Sometimes it’s good to take time out to network, reflect and work through challenges with colleagues. You’ll have access to a range of training opportunities to help you grow in your role, whether you need to hone your influencing skills, gain a better understanding of corporate responsibility or develop the skills to lead a team. 

Our courses are facilitated by experienced consultants and trainers who are experts in their field, so you can be confident that you are getting the most-up-to-date advice and information. If you need to gain a professional or academic qualification to do your job, we’ll support you with 5 days study leave and, in some cases, a contribution towards your fees.

We know that learning doesn’t have to happen in a classroom. People at Business in the Community are passionate about what they do and about sharing their knowledge and expertise through learning lunches, debates and networking events. We’ve also made over 200 e-learning courses available to all our staff which means it’s easy to access personal development opportunities wherever you’re based.
