The aim of this interactive workshop is to help employers in Birmingham and Solihull to better understand the benefits of employing people with autism as well as how to realise the potential of existing employees on the autistic spectrum.
There are more than half a million people in the UK living with autism, of whom 60,000 live and work in the West Midlands. Autism can be an invisible, misunderstood and lonely disability and one that requires compassion and understanding.
This workshop is an opportunity to:
Learn more about the benefits of employing people with autism
Improve your recruitment process for people with autism
Realise the potential of your existing employees with autism
This is an interactive workshop hosted and delivered by Autism West Midlands, the leading autism charity in the West Midlands.
Delegates will explore the myths and facts around autism, better understand how to recruit and support those with autism and discover the benefits of employing individuals with autism.
This workshop is organised by Business in the Community in partnership with Birmingham Voluntary Sector Council. It is funded by Talent Match Birmingham & Solihull and there is no charge to attend (maximum one place per organisation).
