Breakfast: UN General Assembly meeting – New York

Time: to

New York NY 10105

This breakfast, kindly supported by Linklaters, will provide an opportunity to learn about Business in the Community from Chief Executive Officer Amanda Mackenzie OBE

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or Global Goals depend upon the private sector if they are to be achieved, yet too few businesses are sufficiently engaged. To address this, Business in the Community (BITC) is working with members to develop a new conversation toolkit to empower leaders to own the conversation on the Global Goals, driving change within their own business and influencing their business partners. The toolkit will launch during the UN General Assembly week in September 2019.
The breakfast will provide an opportunity to learn how to start, or develop Global Goals conversations within your business.
This breakfast, generously supported by Linklaters, will provide an opportunity to learn about BITC from its CEO Amanda McKenzie. Tom Shropshire, Head of Global US Practice, Linklaters and Gavin Bounds, COO, Fujitsu, will also be sharing their own organisations’ experiences of working towards the Global Goals in their organisations.
Registration will begin at 7.30, with the formal event starting at 8.00.
The event is open to members and non-members of Business in the Community and is suitable for business professionals at all levels. Unfortunately this event is not open to non-governmental organisations.
