Education: Building skills beyond grades

Time: to

The Prince's Seeing is Believing Programme

Led by David Soanes, UK Country Head, UBS and Chair of Business in the Community's Education Leadership team, this Seeing is Believing visit will focus on education and the role that business has to plaUBS logoy in supporting young people to develop skills beyond grades.

3.7 million children, 30% of the total number of children in the UK, live in poverty. It is vital that business does all it can to support schools. Children that grow up in poverty are less likely to succeed at school than at work. Education is out greatest opportunity to break that cycle and business has a key role to play.

Our mission is for business to play its part so that every child, particularly those facing social disadvantages, achieves in education, which will in turn lead to a successful working life.

This Prince’s Seeing is Believing visit will highlight the role that business has to play in delivering change through working in partnership with education to ensure that Britain does not become a permanently divided nation. Delegates will have the opportunity to understand the scale of the challenge across education and business, to understand how business can be part of the solution and how they can drive tangible impact through a leadership role on this agenda.

Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
