We want every business to make a difference, place by place. For over 35 years, Business in the Community (BITC) has worked to create healthy communities with successful businesses at their heart, in towns and cities across the UK. Central to this approach has been engaging people within a place to enable them to understand and identify key issues impacting their local community, and co-designing responses that will address these challenges.
Building on the launch of our report Building the Case for a Connected Britain, in 2018, this approach will be the key focus of Responsible Business Week. We are inviting businesses to join with people from across the community and public sectors as part of a Community Conversation; to share knowledge and insight into local issues and explore opportunities for local collaborative action.
We would be delighted if you could join us for the Community Conversation, kindly hosted by Lloyds Bank, where we will explore how people from all sectors, working in partnership, can make a significant, long-term difference to the community, building on local knowledge and the priorities set out in the city of Manchester and surrounding areas.
You will hear from a Manchester City Councilor, Lloyds Banking Group, Street Support, Rochdale Development Agency, Marlborugh Road Academy and more.
