Jaguar Land Rover – Engine Manufacturing Centre
Innovation Drive Pendeford
Wolverhampton WV9 5GA

This Responsible Business Week 2015 event hosted by Mike Wright, Executive Director, JLR, will be an introduction to Jaguar Land Rover's state-of-the-art Engine Manufacturing Centre as it embarks on manufacturing engines in-house for the first time in a generation.

Places on this event are strictly limited to one person per organisation. Please register your interest by 27 March. For queries call 01902 717 491.

The Engine Manufacturing Centre has been designed with sustainability embedded throughout and will be home to the ‘Ingenium’ engine family, JLRs most advanced engines ever, emitting as little as 99g/km of CO2.

You’ll have the chance to tour the facility and see for yourself how JLR is transforming its business and brands through a programme of sustainable, strategic investments.

You’ll also hear how Jaguar Land Rover is future proofing its engineering capability through an unrelenting commitment to engaging and nurturing future talent. The event will showcase JLR’s award-winning  school education programme Inspiring Tomorrow’s Engineers, including Young Women in the Know, which encourages young women to consider engineering and manufacturing careers, and Inspiring Tomorrow’s Workforce – a traineeship scheme for unemployed young people aged 18-24 who lack the skills and experience required to pursue automotive careers. Jaguar Land Rover is a long standing member of Business in the Community – the Prince’s Responsible Business Network - and in 2013 won the accolade of `Responsible Business of the Year’.

Community Mark planterThis event will include the launch of new research which shows how Jaguar Land Rover and other Business in the Community members in the West Midlands are making a positive impact in the region through their responsible business activities including initiatives such as Business Class, BITC’s flagship education programme which offers a systematic and proven framework for partnering businesses with schools.
