Menter Iontach Nua Master Class: Keith Jones and Andy Rowland Community Energy:

There is a great deal of interest across Wales in how communities, and social enterprises, can develop and manage their own green energy sources . Whether it is wind power, hydro, ground source or photovoltaic cells, this approach can reduce social enterprise costs, whilst bringing benefits and true sustainability to the wider community.

However there is a real gap in knowledge in how to develop such projects. This master class brings together two experts from Wales to tell you how to plan, develop and manage a community micro-generation scheme. Keith Jones is the National Trust’s Environmental Advisor and he is acknowledged as a leading practitioner in leading the Trust’s environmental strategy, currently delivering hydro, PV and marine source heat for the Trust and in community energy partnerships. Andy Rowland is the manager at Ecodyfi, Wales’s oldest energy co-operative, and has particular experience in making schemes happen.

This event is free of charge and lunch is provided. The Llanerchaeron estate is a National Trust property.
