Calling all Black Country businesses!
Don’t miss this great opportunity to show local school children the range of careers and job opportunities open to them before they make their GCSE choices.
This interactive careers event gives you the chance to demonstrate to over 600 young people aged 12 to 14 year olds from Black Country schools what your organisation does and the wider career opportunities available in your sector. Organised as part of Business Class, Business in the Community’s flagship education programme.
With high levels of youth unemployment, there has never been a more important time for young people to receive impartial help and advice about their future jobs and careers. With this event, we want to create a dynamic showcase of the world of work and local industries. We’re looking for local employers who can put on interactive activities which will engage young people and introduce them to the variety of jobs available in different business sectors.
The event is designed to give students:
An insight into the world of work
An opportunity to perform industry related tasks in interactive displays
An opportunity to speak to real people about real careers and their journeys into the world of work
An insight into the variety of job roles available, showing how they fit in to the local economy
What’s in it for you?
Profile your business and its contribution to the local economy
Change students' perceptions of local business
Network with other major employers across the area
Access local students who are keen to understand the opportunities available to them in the world of work
Help address this key social issue and enhance your Corporate Social Responsibility
