Awards for All
Though funding from ACE stems from the Lottery, you can still apply for lottery funding via the Awards for All scheme, though your project must fall within a set criteria as Lottery grants range between £300 and £10,000 for projects that improve communities.
The Arts Impact Fund
A £7million initiative set up to demonstrate the potential for social investment in arts. It focuses on investment for artistic, social and financial return. The fund offers repayable finance to arts organisations working in England that can show how they are sustainable, have great artistic ambitions and have a positive impact on society.
The Big Lottery Fund
Provides funding for charities, voluntary organisations, and projects that improve the health, education and environment of communities.
The Heritage Lottery Fund
Helps communities to celebrate, look after and learn more about our heritage.
Esmée Fairbairn Foundation
Funds across four main sectors – Arts, Children and Young People, Environment and Social Change – as well as through its Food funding strand. For the Arts, it supports three strands:
- Organisations at a pivotal point - organisationally or artistically
- Development of emerging talent
- Art as an instrument for social change, community cohesion or participation
The Fenton Arts Trust
The Trust's overall aim is to give encouragement and financial support to those actively contributing to the creative arts in the U.K. It seeks to assist individuals and organisations who are making a worthwhile contribution to the artistic and cultural life of this country. In particular it wishes to support artists at the beginning of their careers, the often expressed desire of our founder.
Jerwood Charitable Foundation
The Jerwood Charitable Foundation (JCF) are dedicated to imaginative and responsible funding of the arts across the UK, with a particular focus on supporting emerging talent and excellence. We aim for our funding to allow artists and arts organisations to thrive; to continue to develop their skills, imagination and creativity with integrity.
Association of Charitable Trust and Foundations
The Association of Charitable Foundations is the UK-wide support organisation for grant-making trusts and foundations of all types. The site also features a directory of trusts and foundations including remits of support.
Creative Industry Finance
A programme designed to assist creative and cultural enterprises in securing the finance and investment needed to develop and grow into sustainable businesses.
The Prince’s Trust: Creative Enterprise Project

If you are aged between 18 and 30* and have a business idea that relates to the creative industries then Youth Business Scotland, in partnership with Creative Scotland, could help support you in a variety of ways.
