Tinder Helps the NHS Blood and Transplant Campaign “The Wait”
Tinder collaborated with the NHS to raise awareness among young people of the importance of organ donation. In the last decade, more than 6,000 people across the UK have died while waiting for an operation. Tinder helped to promote organ donation during NHS Blood and Transplant’s campaign, ‘The Wait’, to draw attention to people waiting for a transplant. The profiles on Tinder of celebrities featured ‘The Wait’ logo to draw attention to the importance of organ donations. The campaign resulted in marked sign ups to the NHS Organ Donation Register. The partnership between the NHS and Tinder has achieved global reach with over 24 million impressions on social media.
UbiGo – Simple Access to Multiple Transport Options
UbiGo is a single app that provides access to public transit, car sharing, rental cars, taxis and bicycles. Users of the platform benefit from a single invoice for all services they utilise and receive discounts when they use sustainable modes. To make this concept a reality, key partners - AB Volvo, Ericsson and the Viktoria Institute - came together to create the infrastructure and build the range of services provided. After the very successful pilot in Gothenburg, UbiGo has partnered with Ericsson to extend the offering to cover all of Sweden. UbiGo is willing to support local partners from other countries in establishing UbiGo-like services in their urban areas.
