Adam is the Chairman of the Ixion Group, a not-for-profit business delivering skills, employment and business start-up support. He also holds non-executive roles as a Governor of Anglia Ruskin University and as a member of the Governing Body of Haringey Clinical Commissioning Group. He was a Trustee of the Prince’s Initiative for Mature Enterprise which merged with BITC in October 2014.
Adam was previously a civil servant for nearly 25 years, working first in HM Treasury where he held a range of posts including Director of Public Spending, responsible for budgeting for public spending as a whole. After a spell as International Director for the Inland Revenue he moved to the Department for Work and Pensions as a Director General where he advised Ministers on welfare reform, labour market policies and commissioning employment programmes.
Adam has an MSc in Economics.
