Claire is a partner at KPMG and Head of Education, Skills and Productivity in the UK. She has worked across the public sector leading large change programmes in further and higher education, lifelong learning, health, criminal justice, security and defence. She has particular expertise in governance, organisation design, policy review and leadership development. Claire is also KPMG’s lead on public service regulation, with a focus on professional standards and system regulation in health and education.
 
Claire is a member of KPMG’s Ethics Committee, an oversight committee of the KPMG UK Board. She is a member of KPMG’s Inclusive Leadership Board and an energetic sponsor of LGBT and women’s development at KPMG. She speaks regularly on inclusion, diversity and social mobility.
 
She is a non-executive Director of the Commonwealth Games Council for Wales and member of its Governance and Risk Committee. She is a Fellow of the University of Worcester, a member of the Advisory Board of the Women’s Sport Trust and a mentor for Women Ahead which connects senior leaders in sport and business.
 
Before joining KPMG in 2001, Claire worked at the Higher Education Council for England and as a European Officer at a university. She began her career at the European Commission. She has a degree in European Studies and French and an MBA.
