David has worked for Marks and Spencer for 25 years, working throughout the UK in many different retail roles. He has worked within many areas of the business, including an appointment in London leading the flagship Store in Oxford Street.
David is now responsible for one of the largest regions within this business and has an estate which comprises 27 stores throughout the West of Scotland and which employs over 4,000 people.
He is actively involved in many Community projects and works closely to the Marks and Spencer’s Plan A agenda.
He has previously sat as a National Board Member for Young Enterprise Scotland and currently sits on the Advisory Board of Business in the Community Scotland.
David has a personal interest in Radiant and Brighter - a Community Interest Group promoting awareness of cultural diversity within private, public and third sector organisations. Through this partnership he has helped secure work experience placements for over 80 migrants and refugees who have come to Scotland - with many progressing to full-time employment.
David lives in Linlithgow and is married to a Clinical Psychologist working in the NHS. The couple have two children, both of whom are at university in Scotland.
