Ian Plover

Ian joined BITC in October 2017 and leads the Transformation team.
Originally trained as a Civil Engineer, he subsequently moved into the areas of Operations Management, Customer Services, Human Resources and Change Management. Prior to setting up his own consultancy in 2004 he was Director of Human Resources for Anglian Water and then Director of Business Change for the AWG Plc group of companies.
Since 2004 he has worked as a business transformation consultant in a wide range of roles with international experience in the public and private sectors, including industry, higher education, social housing and utilities.
His major clients include: John Lewis Partnership, CIMA, BPP, ITV, BBC, De Montfort University, City University London, Waitrose, Serco Solutions, MWH, Aquatim (Romania), Currie & Brown Group, Weir Group and Stadium Housing. 
He was owner and Chief Executive of Rider’s Edge, the Harley-Davidson Academy of Motorcycling and a founder of The Enterprise Trust, a charity dedicated to inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs.

In 2012 he joined Buckinghamshire New University as interim Faculty Director and went on to become Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Chief Operating Officer.
He has an Executive MBA through City University, London, is a graduate of the University of Michigan Advanced Human Resources Executive Programme, a Chartered Environmentalist, Incorporated Civil Engineer, Member of the Society for the Environment, a Fellow of the Institute of Water and a Fellow of Buckinghamshire New University.
He is currently studying for an undergraduate certificate in Cognitive Psychology with Cambridge University.
