Jim Brophy

Client Director, Fujitsu, 

Jim has over 30 years’ experience within the IT industry across the UK and Europe. In the early part of his career he worked within the computer operations environment, moving into technical support of mainframe systems in the 1980s, before entering into Service Management and Business Management within the IT sector. Jim has worked for major organisations including Honeywell, Bull Information Systems, Steria, Capita and Fujitsu, the largest Japanese employer in the UK. He now works in a seconded role as the UK&I Transformation Lead; the Fujitsu programme enabling the organisation to become fit for digital.

He has had various roles which have seen him work in both the public and private sector, including manufacturing, finance, not-for-profit, local government and education.

As Client Director for new business in Scotland, Jim has responsibility for building relationships that increase brand awareness in Scotland, and identifies opportunities for new business and partnerships within the region.

Personal interests include endurance cycling, golf, football, and in the support and running of school pipe bands, where his children play from the juvenile stage up to the highest level.
