Judith is an experienced business executive with insight from a diverse range of sectors – energy, healthcare, economic development, fund management and real estate - internationally and in the UK. She is delighted to join the BITC Place Leadership Team as she is a firm believer that business gains by taking a proactive role, alongside public and civic organisations, to ensure that all members of the community can participate in, and benefit from, wealth creation. Her own focus in corporate life has been on ensuring that the views of a wide range of external stakeholders are factored into activity - understanding how business can play a fuller role in generating value at a local level, acting for the long term and developing a shared agenda with community to deliver lasting benefits.
A member of the Executive Committee for The Crown Estate, Judith leads on people, place, brand and responsible business - a remit that covers all aspects of communication, engagement and operational resilience. The Crown Estate is well placed to demonstrate how a progressive company can thrive – it returns all net revenue profit to the UK Treasury, sustainably delivered through its purpose of “creating brilliant places through conscious commercialism”, on land and the seabed.
A graduate of both Aberdeen and Edinburgh Universities, where she read International Relations and Business, Judith is a member of the CBI’s London Council. She lives in south east London with her husband and son.
