Matt Hammerstein

Head of Client and Customer Experience, Barclays, 

Matt is currently responsible for leading a number of Group functions – public affairs, corporate communications, strategy and planning, and brand and marketing. He was previously Chief of Staff to John Varley, Barclays former Group CEO. Matt was previously Marketing Director for Barclays UK Retail and a member of the Corporate Strategy team, helping develop and install business transformation efforts across Barclays. Prior to joining Barclays, Matt was a management consultant, with experience in the US and UK and across a range of industries.

Matt has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Yale University, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
