Paul Cowley joined A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd in 2003 and was appointed Group Head of Corporate Affairs in 2012. Key aspects of this role include the delivery of a strategic vision for the corporate affairs team; which oversees corporate responsibility and the embedding of the Blakemore Way values across the Group, internal/external communications and community engagement.
Paul helped launch the company’s corporate responsibility programme in 2003, which has evolved across nine separate trading divisions. During this period A.F. Blakemore has been awarded or re-accredited via BITC’s Big Tick Awards for Excellence on 12 separate occasions within the education, marketplace sustainability and environment categories.
In addition to his role in corporate affairs, Paul was also given additional responsibilities as Learning & Development Manager in 2013. This role is focussed upon leadership development and training predominantly within the company’s central services and wholesale / distribution divisions.
Paul was awarded a Business in the Community Game Changer Award in 2012.
