Dickon Skinner is and engineer, programme manager and leader at Rolls-Royce. He is the Programme Executive for the Rolls-Royce LiftSystem, which provides the vertical thrust for the RAF and Royal Navy’s new F35B Lighting aircraft. He brings over 15 years of experience in engineering, integrated project team leadership, and programme management in the defence business.
Dickon joined Rolls-Royce in 2002 as an engineering graduate and began his career as an aero thermodynamic engineer supporting the Concorde, Hawk, Tornado and Typhoon programmes. He has held a number of positions improving the business through the implementation of new tools and business processes and has acted as a STEM ambassador and innovation champion.
Dickon is a Chartered Engineer with the Royal Aeronautical Society and an APMP certified Programme Manager. He has a bachelor of engineering in aerospace systems engineering with the University of Hertfordshire and a postgraduate certificate in aerospace management with the University of Bristol.
Dickon is married with twin daughters and lives in Bristol. His interests include skiing, rugby and motorsports.
