This Circular Procurement toolkit outlines how businesses can redesign their procurement processes for greater circularity
Business in the Community (BITC) is organising a series of online events during the week that COP 26 (the UN Climate Change Conference) would have been held in Glasgow, to share insights into the big issues and how business can both cut carbon and build climate resilience.
About this webinar
Tackling the climate crisis needs all of us to take action – at home, at work and in our communities. Employers have huge potential to encourage and support people to act. From transferring learning on behaviour change from other issues, to mobilising employee pension investments, to finding ways to incentivise and reward innovation from teams and individuals, to helping boost wellbeing and resilience through access to nature.
There are so many ways that every business can make a difference and now is the time to get started. Join us for this webinar where we will hear from leading businesses, both on what they are doing in their organisations and where they see the key challenges and opportunities for the future. It is also an opportunity to share your thoughts and get inspiration for your next steps.
This event is open to BITC members, with a limited number of spaces for non-members. It is also suitable for Senior management/Director level sustainability and responsible business professionals, and Finance Directors.
BITC’s Challenge 2030 campaign is part of our initiative to create a blueprint for responsible business. This will enable us all to build back responsibly as we recover from COVID-19. Our Challenge 2030 campaign calls on all businesses to act now to understand the risks and opportunities of climate change for their whole value chain.
Find out more about Challenge 2030 and read our factsheet, an A-Z guide of the terminology used in relation to Challenge 2030. It explains each environmental term in an easy to understand and simplified way.
As COVID-19 restrictions tighten again, there are growing calls to tackle the climate crisis to reduce the risk of future shocks. At Climate Week NYC, HRH The Prince of Wales, called on businesses to accelerate their targets for net zero to 2030, adding extra impetus to our Challenge 2030 campaign.
