Join Business in the Community’s (BITC) North East Leadership Board for an interactive webinar on taking steps towards a diverse and inclusive organisation in the North East.

Taking steps towards a diverse and inclusive workforce: Share and Learn with North East Business Leaders
The webinar will help North East businesses understand the unique challenges facing BAME communities in the North East. As well as the importance of moving towards a diverse and inclusive workplace, and the steps you need to take to achieve this.

Attendees will have an opportunity to hear from a panel of North East business leaders who will share how they are seeking to achieve greater diversity and inclusion in their own workplace and will provide honest reflections on the challenges they encounter. Businesses represented on BITC’s North East Leadership Board include Northumbrian WaterGreggsNorth Start HousingNewcastle Business School and Eversheds Sutherland.

We will also be joined by our Race Equality Director, Sandra Kerr CBE, who will encourage participants to sign up to BITC’s Race at Work Charter and will describe the practical steps towards, leadership, capturing ethnicity data, zero tolerance on bullying and harassment, engaging managers and progressing talent.
