Peer learning forum: Building education partnerships that have real impact – London
AudienceBITC members with a community partnership
Tue, 02 June 2020 @ 13:00 – 15:30
Business in the Community events and COVID-19
In light of the rapidly evolving situation with COVID-19, Business in the Community (BITC) is refining its approach to events in the coming weeks. Many events will now be delivered via digital technology. Those events which do not lend themselves to remote delivery will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
BITC’s primary goal is to keep people safe so we have taken this decision based on the latest information available from the UK Government, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Public Health Agencies in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, as well as feedback from many of our members.
Please contact Events@bitc.org.uk for more information.
About the peer learning forum
Share best practice on building education partnerships at this Business in the Community (BITC) peer learning forum.
Education is one of the core areas of BITC’s Responsible Business Map. We think that all businesses should consider how they build partnerships to engage in the education space. But how do we build education partnerships that really work?
This peer learning forum will bring together BITC community partners to discuss building education partnerships that really work. Topics to be discussed include:
- engaging on essential skills to ensure real benefits for young people
- measuring your social impact in a meaningful way
- measuring the positive impacts for the business.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own experiences and real-time questions into the session. We will be joined by three speakers sharing their own experience.
BITC asks that businesses use their expertise to support school leaders to tackle issues that impact the learning of young people, such as staff retention and continuous professional development. We also encourage businesses to engage with school careers leaders to help them build relationship with your own organisation and others across the community.
About peer learning forums
BITC’s peer learning forums provide a confidential environment to discuss common issues, good practice and solutions. There will be an emphasis on discussion and sharing experiences.
This is a free event for BITC members with a community partnership. Members who want to attend should speak to their relationship manager.
Tea and coffee will be served.
