Peer learning forum: Inclusive Community Investment
AudienceBITC members with a community partnership
Tue, 02 February @ 13:30 – 15:00
This Inclusive Community Investment peer learning forum will build on practice for stakeholder engagement. Those attending can discuss the barriers, opportunities and practicalities of ensuring inclusion.
Responsible businesses have always engaged in their communities, through targeted interventions but also through offering good work and purposeful products and services. The impact of COVID-19 is a reminder of how important it is to understand communities and engage diverse stakeholders to ensure the issues are understood and that the right solutions are being designed.
Unfortunately, communities do not always have equal opportunities. Businesses must be more mindful than ever to ensuring they are inclusive.
The UK economy depends on towns and cities harnessing the potential of every man and woman who lives in them. Our towns and cities have always been at the heart of economic development and the creation of prosperity whether as marketplaces or as centres of enterprise, knowledge, culture, learning and innovation. However, the forces changing the way we live work and learn today, exacerbated by the advances in digital technology, are leaving too many communities behind.
This event is only open to BITC’s community advisory members and inclusion advisory members.
