Included with Environment partnership

Mon, 14 September 2020  @  13:30  –  15:00

This Inclusive Healthy Environments peer learning forum for Business in the Community (BITC) Environment Partners builds on previous sessions on stakeholder engagement. The event will discuss the barriers, opportunities and practicalities of how we ensure we are building inclusive healthy environments.

Audience
This event is for BITC Environment partners only.

Background
Race and inclusion, as well as environment and climate change, are high on the agenda in 2020. While we build environment and net-zero carbon strategies, we must ensure we include diverse voices.

Society is affected by the risks and must benefit from the opportunities. We must unite diverse voices in the fight against the climate emergency.

The intersectionality between inclusion and the environment is complex, with environmental degradation and climate change exacerbators of racism.

About BITC’s work on the Environment
BITC’s environment and sustainability agenda encourages change at the core of business. Our programmes focus a one-planet economy that delivers prosperity through the United Nations Global Goals, also known as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

About BITC’s work on Race
Racism happens every day. We need allies who can act at all times, not just when violence reaches the media. People in every workplace must learn about their role in ensuring their company is a safe place for all kinds of people to work.
