This Business in the Community (BITC) online peer learning forum: Lifting the Lid on Waste will discuss how to rethink resource and waste transformation. It will explore how to eliminate avoidable waste and to turn waste into wealth. For any business that recognises its responsibility to change, this is the starting place.

The aims and objectives of the event
This peer learning forum will bring together BITC Environment partners to discuss:

  • identifying opportunities to reduce, reuse and recycle waste
  • understanding the benefits for business, society and the environment
  • establishing a starting point, prioritising actions and deciding on a level of ambition
  • engaging internally with senior management and employees, and externally with suppliers, landlords and other tenants.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own experiences and real-time questions into the session. Those attending will be joined by Peter Belk, Circular Economy Campaign Director at BITC and BITC Environment Adviser Elizabeth Edgington will present best practice and examples.

This event is only available to BITC members with an environment partnership.

It is likely of interest to environment/sustainability practitioners/managers.
