Peer learning forum: Managing Effective Remote Diversity Networks
AudienceOpen to BITC members and non-members
Thu, 17 September 2020 @ 10:30 – 12:00
This peer learning forum will support employee networks to enhance their communication, engagement and visibility in the current climate, as well as think about their recovery strategies and future plans.
This event is an opportunity for chairs and leads of employee networks to come together in a confidential environment to discuss common issues and good practice, along with solutions. There will be an emphasis on delegate discussion and the sharing of experiences. This interactive session aims to convene members across sectors who are eager to share their experiences and learn from one another.
This event is free for both members and non-members of BITC.
COVID-19 and working from home
With widespread work-from-home directives for those whose jobs allow, millions of workers are at risk of losing a key piece of their social safety networks: the connection they feel to their colleagues.
COVID-19 has seen many organisations implement social distancing measures, but it does not have to follow that employees lose their peer working relationships and support. In fact, a long-running trend in employee engagement can help alleviate employees’ fears, lift moral and maintain productivity levels. It is important that relationships are maintained even as employees balance the new demands of home and work all at once.
This session will allow employee networks to enhance their communication, engagement and visibility in the current climate as well as think about their recovery strategies and future plans for their networks.
